A Case Study of Jono at AJ Total Truck 
Jono is the purchasing officer of a multi-site truck bull bar manufacturer. When he took over the role, the company had been using some suppliers with slow lead times. They were further away, which meant that if there was a backorder on some items, he was forced to try to find them from retail shops to keep production going.
Here is a day in Jono’s life:
Production tells him they have just used the last pack of gloves, and can he please get more ASAP. They’re supposed to let him know when they have 3 packs left, but they never do!
